Ringmer Dramatic Society is excited to announce that our Spring production, 20th to 23rd March, is a double bill of comedy!
Our two 1 Act comedies are directed by Johnnie Walker and supported by an accomplished cast and crew. These two short plays are set to produce lusty laughter and hearty applause.
Ways and Means by Noel Coward
Stella and Toby are a middle-class middle-aged couple "sofa surfing" in their friends' villa on the French Riviera.
They are plagued by debt due to their gambling in the casino, at Bridge.
After a prolonged stay at the villa, they are about to be evicted, and everything seems to always be going wrong for them, when an unusual chain of events throws them an unexpected lifeline.
In the original production Noel Coward played Toby.
The Intruders by John Horsler
Two burglars break into a house in the middle of the night. They are disturbed by the occupants Helen and Adrian as they ransack the lounge. Things then take a turn as they reveal their situations, until the burglars learn a lesson on life - Trust Nobody!
