Berkshire a county divided by the River Thames, full of pageantry and ceremony, with strong connections to the British Royal family. 2023 see's many of Berkshire's popular festivals filling up the event calendar including the Reading Festival, Royal Ascot, Royal Windsor Horse Show and Royal Windsor Flower Show.  Whether you're visiting Berkshire for the royal connections or to explore its countryside, visit its towns, enjoying its vibrant nightlife or just to enjoy one of it seasonal events you'll sure to find something to keep everyone entertained.

Marvel at the Changing of the Guards from the streets of Windsor, follow in the footsteps of the British Royal family at Windsor Castle, seek out the magnificent Red Deers and beautiful gardens in Windsor Great Park.   Stroll along the Thames Path National Trail, or catch a boat and enjoy some time on the water, watching the iconic sights of this famous Royal Borough go by.  This May Royal Windsor Horse Show will be jumping its way into the borough (11th - 14th May), June see's Royal Ascot return for five days of action (20th - 24th June), alongside Garter Day (19th June) a really colourful occasion and Royal Windsor Rose and Horticultural Show (10th June). Don't miss the unique Swan Upping (19th July) the annual census of the River Thames swan population by HM Swan Marker and the Royal Swan Uppers in a flotilla of traditional wooden rowing skiffs, or the Maidenhead Festival (22 - 23 July 2023) at Kidwells Park with music, a beach, fairground, stalls and side-shows as well as circus performers.

Walkers can now delight in Reading as the famous St James Way, the UK stretch of the Camino de Santiago, waymarkers in and around town are now complete.  Tread the path that thousands have followed in years gone by on your very own pilgrimage. Reading a town full of surprises, with links to Oscar Wilde, Jane Austen, King Henry I, football, and biscuits! This May Reading will be hosting its first walking festival (10th - 14th May), and in June (10th - 18th June) Luke Jerram's replica artwork of planet Earth with be heading to the Town Hall, August welcomes the annual world-famous Reading Festival (25th - 27th August).
