When is the October Half Term 2021?

Most schools in England break up for the October half term on Friday 22nd October 2021, returning to school on Monday 1st November 2021.  This October half term coincides with Halloween which takes place on Sunday 31st October 2021.  Isle of Wight schools have two weeks for October half term, breaking up on Friday 15th October 2021, returning Monday 1st November 2021.

  • Its trick or treat time on the Beaulieu River as you head out in canoes and search for candy with New Forest Activities, Hampshire. 23rd - 31st October
  • Head to the top of the Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth, Hampshire for a spooky sky-high game of i-spy this October half term 23rd - 31st October. 
  • Enjoy the touching, funny and utterly original Stick Man at the Theatre Royal Winchester. What starts off as a morning jog becomes quite the misadventure. 28th October.
  • Its Owl-O-Ween at the Hawk Conservancy, Andover, Hampshire, enjoy some ghostly story-telling and marvel at the owls as they put on a beautiful flying display against the backdrop of our moonlit grounds. 29th October
  • Learn how to become the perfect little monster on the Hever Castle, Kent Ghoul School audio trail.  You can also plant garlic bulbs - the perfect activity to ward off any stray vampires. 23rd - 31st October.
  • Discover the story of the Little Prince, who leaves behind his own tiny asteroid and journeys through the universe, coming face to face with the baffling world of grown-ups at Norden Farm Centre of Arts, Windsor and Maidenhead. 27th - 30th October.
  • Enjoy the great outdoors this autumn half term at the Weald and Downland Living Museum, Chichester, with fun family activity packs and turn into an explorer following our pumpkin trail. 25th - 29th October.
  • Ride Dr Frankenslimes Trick or Treat Express at the Spa Valley Railway, Tunbridge Wells, Kent 30 - 31st October.
