East Hampshire is a district located between the South Coast and London.  It includes the towns of Alton, Petersfield and Whitehill and Bordon, along with the larger villages of Horndean, Liphook, Liss and Four Marks.  It covers a total area of 514 square km's and is predominately rural.  It is home to some of most beautiful Hampshire countryside including the South Downs and has strong literary links as Jane Austen lived here and Edward Thomas (poet) who lived in Steep and Flora Thompson (writer) who came to Liphook in 1916. 

The city of Winchester is located in central and East Hampshire.  You'll find a host of unspoilt villages, heritage sites and wonderful walks in East Hampshire, alongside a vibrant historic city, a regular events calendar with strong links to literary, the great outdoors and rural tourism.
