Frensham Pond
Waverley
Waverley
The green flag award-winning Frensham Great Pond and Common are located between Farnham and Hindhead on either side of the A287. This picturesque common covers roughly 1,000 acres (400 hectares) and is owned by the National Trust and managed by Waverley Borough Council.
There are car parks at either end of the ponds, with refreshments and toliets at both ends of the ponds. The two large ponds are known as Frensham Great and Little Ponds, which are surrounded by woodland and heathland. Built in the Middle ages the site is now and SSSI and AONB Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the woodland trails and bridle paths provide plenty of opportunity to enjoy nature.
There is also a man-made beach which provide a fantastic place to sunbathe and swim in warm weather (please note this can get very busy in hot weather, it is advisable to check water quality before swimming).
Located between Farnham and Hindhead on either side of the A287.
