What's on across Berkshire's towns and along the River Thames

In the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, new cultural highlights join the calendar and blend together perfectly with internationally renowned favourites, including the Windsor Flower Show (June),Parallel Windsor (July), Maidenhead Beach at Norden Farm (Aug) bringing displays, colour, inclusivity and festival-vibes for visitors to Berkshire. New for summer, 'Trunks across the Thames' brings a family-friendly elephant trail across Eton, Slough, and Windsor from 13 July - 13 September 2026.

2026 is also a particularly special year in Reading, when both the original Bayeux Tapestry and the UK's full‑scale Victorian replica are in the same country for the first time with the original arriving for a landmark exhibition at the British Museum from September 2026 to July 2027, while Britain's full‑size 1886 replica remains proudly on display at Reading Museum. It's also a year of double centenaries in Berkshire, as Hurley Riverside Park celebrates 100 years beside the River Thames and the University of Reading marks its own milestone with Centenary Heritage Tours from February to December, offering a chance to discover historic campuses, leafy spaces and a century of stories.
