Paradise Park

About

Paradise Park & Gardens

Set within 10 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, Paradise Park offers a memorable day out for visitors of all ages. Combining award-winning gardens, fascinating heritage, prehistoric discoveries, and family attractions, there's something to inspire everyone from keen gardeners to young adventurers. Laid out in a blend of formal and informal styles, the gardens feature tranquil lakes, waterfalls, fountains, vibrant seasonal planting, and a peaceful Japanese garden with colourful koi carp. A haven for local birds and wildfowl, the gardens provide a relaxing setting to explore throughout the year.

The Sussex History Trail winds through the grounds, where handcrafted models of iconic Sussex landmarks reveal the county's rich heritage. Plant enthusiasts will enjoy the temperate houses, showcasing fascinating collections from the UK and around the world. Designed by Chelsea Gold Medal-winning garden designer Juliet Sargeant, the Sussex Plant House features Mediterranean fruits, Australian flora, cacti, succulents, and bromeliads beneath a full-size replica of the Iguanodon fossil discovered in the Sussex Weald in 1834.

The Planet Earth Museum tells the remarkable story of our planet, from its earliest beginnings to the present day. It houses a fantastic collection of fossils, minerals, crystals and prehistoric specimens, including items up to 500 million years old and the impressive Sun Gallery.

Families will find plenty to enjoy throughout the park. Children can climb, slide and explore the extensive outdoor Adventure Play areas before heading indoors to the large Play Zone, packed with soft play for all ages. Take a ride on the miniature railway for charming views of the gardens or challenge family and friends on the nine-hole mini golf course.

Whether you're discovering rare plants, exploring Sussex's history, marvelling at ancient fossils or simply enjoying a relaxing stroll through beautiful gardens, Paradise Park offers a unique day out for all generations. The adjoining Garden Centre and Coffee Shop, overlooking the gardens, provide the perfect place to browse, relax and complete your visit.
