South East England comprises 400 miles of coastline, the River Thames and plenty of canals and lakes so it's no surprise to find some of the UK's best boat trips and watersports activities.

Watersports

Whether you're already a keen sailor or want to learn, Gosport & Lee-on-the-Solent are ideal for your sailing or watersports holiday. Boat/yacht hire, sailing tuition, fishing trips, wind-surfing, kite-surfing, and jet-skiing are all available, so there is something for all ages and abilities to enjoy.

Action Watersports, on a freshwater lake in Romney Marsh, Kent, offers excellent tuition in a friendly environment for Water-Skiing, Wakeboarding, Jet Skiing, Stand-up Paddle Boards and FlyBoarding. They also do birthday parties.

New Forest Activities is based on the Beaulieu river and this family friendly attraction includes canoeing and kayaking among its water based activities.

Boat Trips

Don't miss to take a cruise along the River Thames, its a great relaxing way to travel and to see the main historic sites and points of interest.  Jump onboard with City Cruises, and you can either make a short trip between piers or enjoy a tour with live commentary.  If you fancy at little more speed, take a look at the City Cruises Thames Jet option for some exhilarating fun with high speed turns mixed in with some scenic cruising. You can also enjoy a boat trip out from Poole Quay to Swanage, or enjoy a multi-trip adventure combining steam train travel with a boat trip with the Seatrain adventure ticket - great for days out with all the family.
