The Kentish Lady River boat is synonymous with Maidstone and is one of Kent’s premier river excursion providers, working with coach companies and social groups to provide river experiences for over 20 years.
Between Spring and Autumn we provide a unique experience of the Upper River Medway, from 1HR trips at weekends, 3HR lunch/supper cruises for groups and individuals during the week plus a unique and exclusive river trip including access to Allington Castle.
With modern facilities, wheelchair access and a fully licensed bar the family run Kentish Lady is also the perfect setting for a private charter, catering for wedding receptions, parties, and special events.
Take in the sights and sounds of the beautiful Upper River Medway, with wildlife and history along the way the 1hr return trips (1 way available) for families and individuals run at weekends and selected school holidays between Maidstone (Centre) and Allington Lock, the 3hr Lunch Cruises operate between Maidstone and Teston Lock and along with the Allington castle Gardens tour operate during term times and must me pre-booked.
In addition to the Kentish Lady we now offer 2hr or 4hr Self-Drive Boat Hire on the Upper Medway, 6 & 8 seater boat available.

Wer operate from our riverside ice cream kiosk at the rear of the Archbishops Palace on Bishops Way - there is no public parking on site, the nearest parking is at College Rd or the Lockmeadow Entertainment Centre
