When is August Bank Holiday 2018?

This Summer Bank Holiday weekend takes place in England on the Saturday, Sunday and Monday of August 25th, 26th and 27th. So whether you're planning a city break, day-trip, or looking for events and fun things to do near you, this page will give you ideas and inspiration into what's on in South East England. And if you're looking for cost effective ways to keep the kids entertained, our family fun section is just for you.

With 300 miles of scenic coastline, hundreds of places to visit, and picturesque National Parks, the South East is your perfect British outdoor playground throughout the summer holidays, alive in August and brimming with a carnival atmosphere as it plays host to some of the most spectacular outdoor festivals and events.

From festivals and exhibitions to walks, music, children’s activities and free events, there really is something for everyone to enjoy in the beautiful south, not to mention some of the UK's cleanest beaches. There are also plenty of events to enjoy your UK weekend break whatever the weather so if the forecast is poor, there’s still plenty of things to do on a rainy day.
