Come and enjoy live band performances in the open air this summer.  Windsor and Eton Business Partnership presents Windsor’s Live at the Bandstand programme 2025.

There will be a series of musical performances each weekend between Saturday 21 June and Sunday 14 September 2025 at the bandstand in Alexandra Gardens.  Performances will take place between 2pm and 4pm, unless otherwise stated.

Family, friends and music lovers are all invited to bring a picnic and enjoy some great music in Windsor’s Alexandra Gardens.

This event is free.  We'll be posting more details on the bands that will be performing, so please check back for the latest information!

Live at the Bandstand Summer Programme 2025

Sun 22 June 2025 Yiewsley and West Drayton Band
Founded in 1890 as “The Yiewsley Band of Hope”, The Yiewsley and West Drayton Band have been playing in the local area throughout the past 130 years. It saw a few name changes over the years to what it is now known as and has seen many conductors as well as prizes. The band had its first major success in 1952 when the band was a finalist at the Daily Herald National Championships, held at Belle Vue, Manchester. Currently Nationally graded as a 3rd section band, the band play at many local events, including the Eastcote Remembrance Parade and the Brentham May Day parade, as well as concerts, most recently at Sunbury Walled Gardens and at Addlestone Community Centre.​​​​​​​

Sun 29 June 2025 Waterloo Band & Bugles of the Rifles
The Waterloo Band & Bugles of the Rifles are an Army Reserve military band based near Abingdon. The band are renowned for their fast 'light infantry' marching pace and the unique sound of the Bugle Platoon. See them perform in concert on The Bandstand with a mixed repertoire specially selected to appeal to everyone. We look forward to seeing you there.

Sat 5 July 2025 Windsor Community Orchestra (WCO) & Reign (The Windsor Boys' School Old Boys 5pm-7pm)
‘Reign’ are an exhilarating young cover band with a wide variety of song choices and genres ranging from Classic Rock, Brit Pop to Nineties Grunge and Heavy Metal - each and every rock fan is guaranteed to satisfied! The group met doing music GCSE, and have since played at Rock the Rec Festival (Windsor), Windsor and Eton Brewery, The Outlook (Reading), The Old Court (Windsor), The Acoustic Couch (Bracknell), and on The Long Walk (Windsor) in front of five thousand people for the King’s coronation.This young band from Windsor showcase a magnificent collection of rock n roll songs - full of free-spirit, this is a group no music lover can afford to miss!

Sun 6 July 2025 Barnes Concert Band
Barnes Concert Band was formed in the 1970s by a small group of local residents in Barnes, South West London and is celebrating 50 years of community music making with special events during 2025.  There are now 50 very committed amateur players of all ages playing in a traditional concert band with woodwind, brass and percussion sections.  The repertoire spans classical music, big band, musicals and compositions for concert band by contemporary composers such as Adam Gorb and Nigel Hess.  Under the baton of our Musical Director and former Welsh Guards clarinetist, Daryle Lowden, we are delighted to make a return visit to Alexandra Park in Windsor to entertain with toe-tapping music for a summer’s afternoon. Sat 12 July 2025 The Sound Crowd
The Sound Crowd was established in 2010 and meets at The Old Court.  The group has an average weekly attendance of 30 singers (balanced mix of male/female).  New to group singing but fancy joining in? No fuss, just grab a glass and get singing a range of contemporary songs in harmony with no audition or music reading required.  Find out more here.

Sun 13 July 2025 Burnham Concert Band
The Burnham Concert Band is a community wind band, we were founded in 1975 and are based in Burnham, Buckinghamshire.  The band consists of 30 to 40 woodwind and brass players, with additional percussion and string bass.  We share a love of making music and a determination to achieve the highest standard we can under the baton of our Music Director, currently Adam Swift.  We play a wide range of music to suit most tastes, from light classical to modern pop and of course, tunes from films and the shows.  We rehearse every week, and usually perform three formal concerts each year at Burnham Park Hall.  In addition, we play at garden fetes, local summer shows, on bandstands and at private- and charity-sponsored functions.  For the last three summers, we have enjoyed performing in both Beaconsfield and Burnham, in support of local initiatives to celebrate special events. Sat 19 July 2025 Smartphones Sax Band
So many saxophones! Smartphones Saxophone Band from Yateley in Hampshire, play music from Mozart to the Muppets, Baroque to the Beatles.  We play at local village fairs and charity fundraising events.  If you are interested in finding out more about us, contact Louise Rayner at louise@raynermusic.co.uk for more information.

Chiltern Hills Brass is a friendly Brass Band based in Cressex near High Wycombe.  We are currently graded as First Section in the National Brass Band Registry.  At present the band has 22 members  and rehearses in High Wycombe, Bucks. Find out more on our website.

Sat 2 August 2025 Woodley Concert Band
Woodley Concert Band is an award winning community band from Woodley, near Reading. This year the band is celebrating 50 years of music making! We have just over 45 musicians and play a wide variety of music such as film, musicals, jazz and pop, always with the aim of entertaining audiences. We give around fifteen concerts each year, in concert halls and at outdoor venues like this one. Along with our own concerts, many of our performances are by invitation to provide music for organised events and help local charities raise funds. More details can be found on our website.
             
Sun 3 August 2025 Sandhurst Silver Band
Sandhurst Silver Band is a contesting band in the Championship section of the London and Southern Counties Region, and currently ranked in the top 100 bands globally.  Sandhurst Silver was formed in 1908 by the Coombs family of Albion Road and has been an integral part of the local community ever since. The band has been competing regularly since the 1920s, with highlights such as qualifying for the National Finals 5 years running between 2001 and 2005, Butlins Mineworkers Festival First Section in 2014, and returning to the championship section again in 2023.  The band are the current Leicester Association Champions.  In 2024 the band attended the annual Whit Friday march competition in Saddleworth, finishing 12th out of 170 bands.  Alongside competitions, the band perform concerts during the year and are always looking for new projects to promote live music making in and around Berkshire.  Recent highlights have included performing the live soundtrack to the Christmas classic ‘The Snowman’, and a collaboration with Lorna Timms Theatre Arts.  The current band room was built by members in 1958 in Brookside, where the band still practices today, along with the other bands associated with the Sandhurst organisation – Sandhurst Community Brass, and our training band Brasshoppers.  The band also feature a brass quintet and a Bavarian style beer band.

Sat 9 August 2025 SAXOPHONY quartet
SAXOPHONY is a saxophone quartet based in Surrey. We play audience-friendly music, both old and new, and have played at various bandstands and events throughout South East England, from Berks to Essex, Hants to Surrey and E. Sussex.

Sat 16 August 2025 Waltham St Lawrence Silver Band
Waltham St Lawrence Silver Band is an inclusive non-contesting brass band, providing an opportunity for players at all levels to come together and make music for themselves and the public. We regularly play at local events and on bandstands, and aim to present several indoor concerts each year. We meet for rehearsals on Wednesday evenings 8.00-10.00 at the Neville Hall, Waltham St Lawrence, RG10 0JJ. New players are always welcome! Sun 17 August 2025 Middlesex Yeomanry Concert Band
The Middlesex Yeomanry Concert Band has its roots as the Band of the Duke of Cambridge’s Hussars (Cavalry).   Former Cavalry Units are now Signals Squadrons and we became 47 (Middlesex Yeomanry) Signal Squadron TA.  With the reorganisation of the TA the band itself was disbanded but has kept its identity as a community band.  Some of the players have served with the RAF Central Band, including bandmaster, Michael Robinson, and a number with famous army bands.  The rest are civilians.  The current band is based in Teddington and gives regular concerts in Hampton Hill, with a mixture of concert overtures, music from the stage and screen and bandstand favourites.  Summer season venues include concerts in Kingston, Surrey;  Alexandra Park, Windsor and Regents Park, London with a light repertoire including favourites such as the Jungle Book, Broadway Melodies, the Teddy Bears Picnic and the Cuban dance rhythms of Mambo Jambo.
             
Sat 23 August 2025 Windsor Ukulele Band
The Windsor Ukulele Band meet on Tuesday evenings (7.00pm) at The Swan, Clewer. Everyone is welcome from beginners to seasoned players. We play songs that we like and we have fun. Playing music together with other people is a fantastic creative outlet and a great way to make new friends and improve your Ukulele skills.

Sat 13 September 2025 RAF Halton Voluntary Band
We are a concert/military band based at RAF Halton in Wendover, near Aylesbury.  Its members come from all walks of life, including the Armed Forces and the Civil Service. The majority of the band are local civilians who travel from a wide area to meet for rehearsals. Our main aim is to support the RAF and sister services, hence we wear RAF uniform (which is provided free of charge). Having said that, the majority of our band engagements are playing in various parks during the summer months. For more info please visit our website.
