Music Festivals in the UK have become more and more of a tradition for growing numbers of festival goers where you can experience your favourite bands and artists all at one venue.

Guide to Music Festivals across the South East

Arguably one of the most popular music festivals in the South East is Berkshire's Reading Festival (24 - 26 August 2018). Taking place on August Bank holiday weekend, the three day music event traditionally attracts some of the best rock bands in the world despite having more dance acts in recent years. Hundreds of thousands of visitors experience the festival every year.

If you're looking for something spritual then Oxfordshire's Wilderness Festival is taking place at the start of August  (2 - 5 August 2018) . Spread across four days the festival is ideal for nature lovers and not only does it have fantastic live music but offers contemporary arts, an array of theatre and craftsmanship.

Guildford's Weyfest (17 - 19 August 2018) is a premium boutique-style festival which has been held in the Surrey grounds at the Rural Life Centre since 2017. At the you will experience fine foods, wines, ales, ciders and lagers, cocktails and champagne bars - all at reasonable prices. 

There are plenty of frequently cleaned toilets that are topped up with supplies all weekend, a beautiful campsite with wonderful hot showers and great sound quality from four stages.

Hampshire & the Isle of Wight

If you’re looking for something a bit more quirky then look no further than Boomtown Fair (9- 12 August 2018), located near Winchester. This is the festival's 10th chapter with over 100 venues to choose from showcasing a range of music genres and some of most weird and wonderful surroundings in the country.

Portsmouth’s Victorious Festival  (24 - 26 August 2018) certainly wins the prize for best value for money as the now three day event offers tickets as cheap as just £22 a day although with now now camping on offer. the festival set to be bigger and better than ever with over 60,000 festival go-ers last year and even more expected to attend this year.

Portsdown Hill Campsite is a family friendly, relaxed campsite located just 8 miles from the festival site and has stunning scenic views. Free Camp and Ride services mean Campers can enjoy the festival experience. 

CarFest South will take place at Laverstoke Park Farm, Overton and is set to be their best line up yet (24 - 26 August 2018). Paloma Faith and Texas are among the acts lined up for this year as the festival looks to raise as much money as possible for Children in Need!

Eklectica (7 - 9 September) is an escapist weekend festival full of chart-topping acts and wellbeing activities, held in Isle of Wight's enchanting Robin Hill Country Park. The headline acts include Pixie Lott, The Fratellis, Toploader, Scouting for Girls, Noisettes, The Hoosiers, Tinchy Stryder and Reggie Yates. The festival line up also consists of a number unsigned bands from a range of genres who are already making waves in the music industry.
