The Ashford & Tenterden Tourism Association is a fully constituted membership organisation that exists to help promote tourism in the Ashford Borough, and represent the interests of all of its’ members.
Ashford and Tenterden boasts an excellent selection of tourism facilities with something to suit all tastes and budgets, and all just 38 minutes from London by High Speed train. Accommodation ranges from small bed & breakfasts to large hotels and rural self-catering. Unique experiences are on offer too, with luxury glamping at Port Lympne Reserve, or wake up to the roar of lions, tigers and big cats with an overnight lodge stay at the Big Cat Sanctuary.
The range of attractions is equally diverse with visitors able to taste local wines and beers, ride on steam railways, see working windmills, visit historic houses and gardens and enjoy a round or two of golf. And delight in the variety of animals to see – from rabbits to rhinos it’s all here. The range of leisure facilities includes luxury spas, indoor pools, gym facilities, great golf courses and even an international athletics stadium.
Ashford Designer Outlet is a shoppers’ paradise offering designer brands at up to 60% less, whilst the tree-lined High Street in Tenterden is awash with both independent and antiques shops.
