The Urban Van Fest is a 3 day and night camper van / van life festival set in the scenic setting of Plumpton Racecourse near Lewes East Sussex at the foot of the South Downs.
The Urban Van Fest is an event for van life enthusiasts and novices, those who are interested in self builds, conversions or just have an interest in camper vans, this weekend is a chance to come together and make new friends and memories, to be inspired by others, whether a full time van lifer or a seasonal camper the Urban Van Festival is welcoming to all
With a Van Exhibit of inspiring and interesting van conversions, A wellness area with treatments and workshops, free and chargeable including Indian head massage. Morning Yoga, Acupuncture, talks on menopause and health the wellness area is a key element of this weekend managed by Katherine of Auranne. The wellness team have also organised a morning park run of the racecourse on the Sunday.
Music will be live Friday & Saturday 11am-11pm and Sunday 11am-6pm with a great variation of up and coming talent and local bands, with headliners The Gangsters Ska Band, Murdoch's Crazy Eyes, Wathefunk, Harleymoon Kemp and Josh Barry see the full line up on the website, the stage has been programmed by Music Manager Russell Phillips
The Craft and Artisan Market is open 10am-6pm each day with a great selection of stalls including gifts, clothing, cakes etc., there will be food trucks in the main area, burgers, pizza, jacket potatoes and vegan offerings. The Urban Tavern is the urban van festivals own licensed bar with locally sourced lager, Ale and cider from nearby Gun Brewery Sussex, the bar will also be sensibly priced which means visitors will not be paying crazy festival prices for a pint.
There will be activities for all, include incense making workshop by Purple Hayze, Bumper cars, free kids bouncy castles, kids craft, and much more keep posted on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/urbanvanfestival Plus inspirational talks from van life converters Bear Hug Campers and full time van lifers The Kombi Chronicles who are currently travelling south America plus more talks.
All this is being put together by local couple Josie and Kev who have a passion for camping and made the move from tent to van, they hope to produce an exciting and fun weekend, that people will enjoy and want to come back too, with a chilled friendly atmosphere, already Josie and Kev have made some lovely new friends in the van life community.
The urban van fest is supporting The Samaritans whose festival branch will be present at the festival
