My Year Walk graphic

About

Embrace the seasons on a guided Roald Dahl countryside walk; kick up some leaves, ramble through woods, smell the flowers and listen to extracts from Roald Dahl's My Year in the beautiful woods and fields that inspired the book.

My Year was Roald Dahl's last book. It's a month-by-month account of the changing seasons full of childhood memories and seasonal observations. Each month we'll explore a new chapter of the book while walking in the very woods that inspired the stories. You can also pre-order a hot drink and cake from The Canny Café to greet you when you return.

Walk £4 per person

Optional hot drink and cake package £6 per person (please email hello@roalddahlmuseum.org to order once you've booked your walk ticket – order by midday the Thursday before the walk)

For age 6+

Guided walk takes approx. 50 minute and heads over fields and through woods. The conditions may be muddy, so please dress for the seasonal weather and wear appropriate footwear.
