Enjoy the unique experience of Llama trekking in the Surrey countryside at the Merry Harriers in Hambledon. Llamas make ideal companions for trekking in the outstanding natural beauty of the Surrey Hills, with its unique flora, fauna and history. Affectionate, intelligent and alert they bring their own brand of happiness and personality to each trek.
Choose to head out and enjoy an English picnic on route, or enjoy a winter morning or summer event stroll with your new llama friends as you travel along some stunning trails the Greensand Way. A truly unforgettable experience, this makes for a wonderful gift or to create that special wow moment on your holiday or short break in South East England.
Treks last on average between 2 - 3 hours depending on the type of trek chosen and must be pre-booked at least 48 hours in advance. The minimum age is 8 years, maximum number of people of the trek is limited to 12.
The following trekking packages are available - please visit website for most up to date information and prices.
- English Picnic Trek; lasts 2-3hrs, starting at 11:00. Adults are £89.00 per person, Children (8-15) are £55.00 per person, Family (2 adult, 2 children) are £220.00.
- Summer Evening Trek and dine; lasts roughly 2hrs, starting at 17:00. Adults are £89.00 per person, Children (8-15) are £55.00 per person.
- Children’s Birthday Party Trek; lasts roughly 2-3hrs, starting usually around 11:00. Children must be aged between 8-15, and includes a picnic lunch. Tickets start at £41.00 p/p
- Winter Morning Trek; lasts roughly 2 hrs, starting at 11:00, and ending with a 2-course lunch in our inn. Adults are £89.00 per person, Children (8-15) are £55.00, Family (2 adult, 2 children) are £220.00.
- The Lama Love Trek; a 3-course dinner, a stay in one of our rooms with views of the llamas from your bedroom window, a trek that starts at around 11:00, and lasts for 2hrs, with lunch. This package deal for couples – To enquire email enquiries@merryharriers.com
Less than an hour from London Waterloo you will find us in the picturesque village of Hambledon, just seven miles from the charming market town of Haslemere, in a remarkable pocket of England – the Surrey Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – and on the edge of the South Downs National Park.
By car: From the A3 follow signposts for Milford and Haslemere. Continue along the A283 towards Witley and Chiddingfold. At the roundabout take the Petworth Road/A283 exit. Continue along this road for 2.8 miles then turn left onto Lane End. Continue for 1 mile through Hambledon Village and The Merry Harriers is on your left.
By train: Both Milford and Witley Stations are just 2 miles away with direct trains from London Waterloo (50 mins).
By bus: There is a bus stop right outside, for which you can download a timetable for from Stagecoach Hants & Surrey, the 503 Hambledon – Milford – Guildford.
