A service with lots of candles

About

All are welcome to join us for this extraordinary service as over 1,000 candles are gradually lit to illuminate the medieval interior, taking us from darkness into light as we embrace the hope of Advent.

Additional information:

There are no tickets required for this service, everyone is welcome. Queue numbers will be issued on each night, to ensure fair access to the Cathedral. Please note that saving seats once in the Cathedral will not be permitted, so members of a group wishing to sit together will need to queue together. Please arrive in good time to be sure of getting in before the permitted capacity is reached. In any event, please be seated by 18.40 (Sunday 16.40). Wheelchair users and their carers please queue and once in the Cathedral, will be directed to a designated area in the South Transept. Frail walkers will be able to sit in the Consistory Court (once a queue number has been issued) and join their party, when they reach the entrance.

If you have additional accessibility requirements, please contact the Head Verger e.lycett@salcath.co.uk , 01722 555151. For any other queries, please contact litmus@salcath.co.uk
