Close to Henley on Thames, Marlow and a stone’s throw from London, is the ancient home of the Stonor family, dating back to the twelfth century, this has been their family home for over 850 years.
Nestled in a Chiltern Valley the house dominates a magnificent view of the beautiful deer park and woodland. Beyond the warm red brick Jacobean façade, a stroll through the house is a vivid walk through history.
Discover art and treasure collected from across the globe, view historic maps, documents and artefacts that reveal generations of service to the country.
Highlights include the grand Gothic revival hall, atmospheric 17th century library and dramatic long gallery opening onto the beautiful Italianate gardens, with borders full of seasonal flowers and stunning lily ponds.
Whilst at Stonor, visit the cafe located in the 13th Century Hall, open from 12pm and the Gift Shop offering local produce and craftware such as Stonor honey made by their own bees.
Open from 27 March to 25 September. All Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays during the season, Wednesday June, July, August and September, Thursday June, July and August and each Saturday during August.

However, everyone's disability is individual and there are chairs at intervals for visitors to rest. To see the first floor there are flights of stairs - one up and another down.
