Lepe Country Park

About

Lepe Country Park offers over a mile of beach and pine fringed cliffs with stunning views across the Solent. Historic D-Day remains, wildflower meadows and children's play area - something for all the family to enjoy.

Cold War Explorer Backpacks: Discover all about Lepe’s role during the Cold War with our unique backpack that gives you the chance to be part of the Royal Observer Corps volunteers! Backpack costs just £2 with an £8 deposit, refunded on return of the pack.

Nature Trail: Explore Lepe’s local nature reserve with a trail of brass rubbings, quizzes, fun facts and more. Collect from the office for £1.50 and it comes with a pencil, crayon and Lepe wristband!

Lepe Loop: This is a 5 mile coast and countryside circular walk around Lepe and Exbury. Dogs can also be taken on the route which will take around 2 hours at a leisurely pace. During Winter the paths can be boggy so wellingtons and sensible outdoor clothing are recommended. At high tide, there is an alternative route following the lane.

Play: Lepe Country Park is a wonderful place to keep the whole family entertained for hours. Pack a picnic and come for the day. Let off some steam on the adventure playground, fly kites on the cliff top, go swimming in the sea and explore the wild corners of the park.

Hire a BBQ: The small BBQ is located within the cliff top car park with two picnic tables provided, and is not far from the children’s play area. It can be hired for set periods 11am to 2pm and 3pm to 6pm. The Large BBQ  offers exclusive use of the large charcoal grill situated in a large, open, dog-free barbeque area with picnic tables. It's close to open grassland areas, which are ideal for games and is only a short walk from the beach. Contact the Lepe Country Park to book.

Dogs: Dogs are welcome in the country park and there is plenty to keep you and your four-legged friend entertained. Play fetch in the fields, go for a ramble in the trees or even let your hound enjoy a splash in the Solent. Follow on-site signage and make use of dog waste bins provided. A family friendly beach operates between April and September. Dogs are not allowed on this area of beach during these dates. An alternative route along the coast is available.

Café: Lepe's inviting and spacious café, kiosk and shop sit next to the beach car park. The café offers fresh locally sourced produce with a great selection of sandwiches, jacket potatoes, hot specials, cakes and drinks to enjoy in our indoor or outdoor seating areas.
