The Alver Valley is Gosport's wildlife haven, and there's always something to see and do throughout the through the changing seasons. It’s a great place to go for a walk, with plenty of routes and different landscapes. This nature reserve is full of wildlife living amidst its woodland and grassy meadows . The River Alver runs through its heart, creating lakes and ponds along its course. Crossing it is Apple Dumpling Bridge, whose name is said to derive from the apple dumplings sold to soldiers by a lady at the bridge during the time of the Crimea war.
There is plenty of parking available.
