The Falkland Gardens, Gosport can be found at the eastern end of Gosport High Street. adjacent to the Ferry terminal to Portsmouth, home of the Gosport Ferry and offer great views over Portsmouth Harbour. The path from the gardens leads straight to the pedestrianised shopping area.
The gardens where named the 'Falkland Gardens' in 1984 to honour the role that Gosport played in the Falklands war, and in 2000 the entire Esplanade area was redeveoped to include a new 'Time Space' sculpture, new promenade and a link to Trinity Green and Walpole Park. The gardens have a traditional Victorian layout with bedding places, a bust of Lord John Fieldhouse of Gosport, submariner and seating - ideally to watch the busy shipping movements within Portsmouth Harbour.
