Portsmouth Guildhall

About

Portsmouth Guildhall is one of the premier event and entertainment venues on the South Coast, with a star-studded programme of performances all year round.

From award winning theatre productions to live music from chart-topping bands – there's something exciting happening every time you visit. Portsmouth Guildhall, with its great sea views and nearby shops and restaurants, is also a popular place to stage conferences, banquets, weddings, parties – or any kind of special event.

Originally built in 1890 as the town hall, Portsmouth Guildhall was almost entirely destroyed in 1941 during a German air raid. However, despite the fire damage, three external walls remained standing, and the building was restored and reopened by Her Majesty The Queen in 1959.
