Just 20 minutes from Banbury or Oxford takes you to the idyllic Heyford Wharf with its convenient rail station alongside. Our 200 year old working boatyard offers a village shop, gifts, bistro cafe, dayhire and holiday boats, and cycle hire. Nearby there is excellent walking, Rousham House and a friendly village pub.

Open 9am - 5pm March - October 7 days a week
(9am - 4pm November to Feb)

Free admission.
Day boats for hire from £110 per day/ 10 people. Pre booking required.

Road Directions

From M40/J10 take the B430 to Middleton Stoney. At the Middleton Stoney traffic lights turn right onto B4030 and follow to Lower Heyford. At crossroads in Lower Heyford turn left down hill for 0.5miles - boatyard is on the right before the railway bridge. PLease use our boatyard or free rail station carpark.

Public Transport Directions

Heyford railway station is directly opposite and is connected by regular services from London, Oxford, Reading and Banbury on Monday to Saturday. Summer Sunday services also available.
