Quaint, quirky and one of the most charming coastal towns in Kent, Deal in White Cliffs Country is steeped in history.  See a fantastic range of maritime exhibits at Deal Museum, the Timeball Tower Museum or explore one of the historic castles in Deal and Walmer

Take a leisurely stroll along Deal’s unspoilt promenade, overlooking the pretty pebbly beach with fishing boats pulled up onto the shingle. Wander along Deal Pier, which you might recognise as a filming location from ITV’s “Liar”, and enjoy the view of historical buildings lining the shore that’s remained unchanged for more than 100 years. Sample the culinary delights available from Deal Pier Kitchen or try fresh, locally caught fish at one of Deal’s waterfront bistros or cosy eateries tucked away in the town centre.

Step back in time and explore the maze of Deal’s narrow streets and alleyways, where quaint fishermen’s cottages nestled amongst the cobbles rub shoulders with well-preserved Georgian town houses. Here, smugglers would try to evade King George’s men. Today, you can shop in style and pick up something special from one of the friendly, small specialist shops in Deal’s award-winning high street.

If you love the Arts, you'll love Deal! Soak up the vibe of Deal's arts scene as you browse the art galleries and exhibitions. Enjoy Deal’s many festivals and cultural performances. At Deal Braderie, the town’s annual street market, you’ll find stalls selling vintage clothing, jewellery, crafts, bric-a-brac, memorabilia, books and antiques.

Deal was recently rated the best seaside resort out of 91 resorts in the UK and has frequently been highlighted as one of the best places to live in Britain. It’s easy to understand why!

You’ve plenty of choice when it comes to accommodation in Deal. Perhaps you’ll choose The Rose, a chic boutique-style hotel full of artistic charm in the town centre. The refurbished 18th century Clarendon Hotel on Deal’s seafront offers views over the English Channel and Deal’s famous pier.
