Deal Castle is one of the finest Tudor artillery castles in England. Today you can explore the whole castle, from the exciting dark passages underneath, to the first-floor captain's residence.
You’ll find children’s activities and fascinating artefacts as you uncover the rich and varied history of the castle. Take to the battlements for beautiful coastal views and then pick up a wooden musket to defend the castle as you do the ‘rounds’ in the underground tunnels. A pleasant cycle path also links Deal and Walmer Castles along the beachfront so you can explore both castles in one day!
