Following the success of last year's Specialist Plant Fairs, the Plant Fairs Roadshow returns to Borde Hill with a wide range of locally grown, garden-worthy and unusual plants to inspire keen gardeners.
An exciting line-up of independent UK nurseries from across five counties in the South East (including several RHS exhibitors) will be exhibiting on the Azalea Ring and the Plant Fairs Roadshow's very own Plant Doctor will be able to answer questions and help visitors find the right plant for the right place.
Borde Hill's Garden Team will also be available during the event to answer questions, while Head of Horticulture, Harry Baldwin will be giving a talk in the Marquee at 12pm, celebrating 130 years of planting excellence at Borde Hill – delve into the remarkable legacy of Colonel Stephenson Robert Clarke, the visionary plantsman behind the Garden's extraordinary collection of rare trees and flowering shrubs, while hearing about our pioneering propagation programme aimed at safeguarding these botanical wonders for future generations.
The Spring Plant Fair is a wonderful time to visit Borde Hill, with vibrant displays of rhododendrons, azaleas and flowering trees, bluebells starting to show their heads above the ground in Warren Wood, tulips en masse and 400 Fritillaria orientalis 'Rubra' providing a feast for the eyes in the Italian Garden.
The Plant Fair is included in normal Garden admission and is free to Members.
