About

Borde Hill is a beautiful Grade II* English Heritage listed garden set within 200 acres of scenic parkland. Renowned as a plantsman’s paradise, the Garden boasts rare shrubs and champion trees, stunning herbaceous borders, a large lily pool and subtropical dells with palms and banana trees.

Enjoy tranquil Garden ‘rooms’, including the Rose and Italian Gardens, an abundance of colour throughout the season, stunning views across the Ouse Valley Viaduct, woodland and lakeside walks and home-cooked food.

2019 events throughout the season include a large 20th Anniversary Sculpture Exhibition, Rose Celebration Weeks, family trails and activities during the school holidays, Musical Picnics, Open Air Opera, a Plant Fair and horticultural talks and tours. A new Adventure Playground will open in March 2019.

Nestled at the heart of the Garden is the historic Elizabethan Mansion House, open for pre-booked Groups (15+). Also for Groups, we offer a discounted entry rate, pre-booked Garden/House tours and bespoke catering options served inside a dedicated marquee.
