Pull on your wellies and start exploring.
This winter become a Shape Detective and see the world through new eyes!
Embark on an exciting adventure with Gina the Gardener as your virtual guide, uncovering a multitude of captivating shapes and patterns within our Garden. You'll be astounded by just how many are waiting to be discovered in the most unexpected places. From the organic beauty of Borde Hill's yew hedge topiary to the striking chimneys of the Elizabethan House, and the hidden wonders in the Round Dell, our Shape Detective trail promises an intriguing journey of exploration.
Along the way, enjoy natural craft activities and interactive games that will ignite your creativity. But that's not all – take on exciting challenges in your trail booklet and search for hidden logs around the Garden to help decode the name of a spring flower and to win a prize.
A Fun-Filled Experience for All Ages
Our Shape Detective trail is perfect for children aged 3-8 years. We've also created a separate activity sheet specifically designed for 9-12 year olds, ensuring that the adventure is engaging for all.
As you explore, spot the emerging signs of spring including camellias, snowdrops, crocuses, daffodils, hellebores and some early-flowering rhododendrons.
£4 per trail, plus Garden admission to include a prize. Free to Members (Child or Family Memberships).
