This Christmas head to Sandwich in Kent for the start of the festive season, with the town centre light parade and Christmas light switch on.
The Christmas festivities begin at 12am with festive local stalls, food vendors, traditional mulled wine, face painting, festive treats along with live music, Smith's Family Funfair, and a festive craft fair at St Peters Church. The magical Christmas lights parade starts at 17.00pm - see route below - ahead of the Sandwich town centre light switch on at 18.00pm
The Christmas lights parade will start at the back of The Guidhall (Cattle Market) at 5pm, and includes festive floats, a fire engine and local groups. The Parade will turn down onto Moat Sole, Harnet Street, Strand Street, the High Street along Chain and Galliard Street, New Street and back into Cattle Market.
Run entirely by a passionate team of unpaid volunteers, this event is a shining example of what can be achieved through the generosity and hard work of the community
