The Royal Isle of Wight County Show returns on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 July 2026, marking its 125th Show. With a history dating back to 1833, the event has long been a showcase for our island's agricultural heritage, local talent and community spirit. It remains one of the Isle of Wight's most cherished and enduring events.
Bringing you a memorable programme of entertainment, hands-on activities and animal encounters across 37 acres of showground. Families will have the chance to meet farm animals, watch cows being milked, lead a sheep or calf, and enjoy the ever-popular Fun Dog Show.
New attractions for 2026 include the arrival of camel racing, bringing a unique and entertaining spectacle to the Show for the first time, alongside opportunities to meet fascinating giant tortoises. And all the familiar favourites are back including the Sheep Show and Shetland Pony Grand National.
The Main Ring will host a variety of displays and demonstrations, including vintage tractor parades, Pony Club games, dog displays and the prestigious Grand Parade of Champions. Around the showground, you can also enjoy everything from vintage fairground rides and a rodeo bull ride to fire-breathing performances, live music, marching bands and trial bike displays.
At the heart of the Show are the livestock and equestrian competitions, where some of our island's finest sheep, cattle and horses compete for top honours. You can watch judging classes, meet local farmers and gain a fascinating insight into modern farming and rural life.
The Food Pavilion showcases the very best of our island's produce, with local growers, brewers, bakers and food producers offering a delicious taste of the Isle of Wight.
The popular Makers' Market features a wide range of handcrafted products, including jewellery, ceramics, homewares, artwork, candles and skincare. It's the perfect opportunity to meet the makers and take home something unique. The Island Arts area features local artists and is a chance to find out how they have developed their amazing talents.
You can also enjoy traditional woodland crafts, including hurdle making, charcoal making and spoon whittling, browse the Countryside and Garden Area, seek expert advice at the new Garden Advice Centre, and discover some of our island's finest visitor attractions in the Tourism Pavilion.
