Hall Place Gardens

About

The stunning gardens of Hall Place in Beaconsfield are opening to the public for a special fundraising afternoon on Sunday 9th June 2024 from 2.00-5.30pm to raise money for UK charity The Cancer Treatment and Research Trust (CTRT).
The event aims to raise crucial funds to support the gynaecological cancer research projects carried out at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre in Northwood. The charity is currently fundraising for a specific study to obtain more information about rare gynaecological cancers.
Professor Marcia Hall explains; "Mount Vernon Hospital is working on a study called the 'RaNGO project' where an anonymised national registry of patients with rare gynaecological cancers is being created in which we can collect crucial information from patients across the UK. This data helps doctors better understand how rare gynaecological cancers are diagnosed and managed at present. We hope by raising money to conduct this research, doctors in the future can be more confident about the most effective treatments they can offer patients who have been diagnosed with these rare cancers."

At the Open Gardens event, visitors can enjoy the peaceful grounds of a Grade 2* listed 18th century home. The origins of the gardens themselves date from the 16th century and the current owners have sympathetically restored the gardens over the last 20 years. The classic Victorian rectory parterre and long walk have been reinstated; a swimming pond established to counter an area of honey fungus. There is also a small orchard, Japanese garden and duck pond with kitchen gardens to view.

With live music from BSV Jazz Band, afternoon tea, raffle and plants for sale from Smith's Garden Centre it is set to be a fantastic day for an excellent cause.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online or on the door. Advance price is £7.00 and £9.00 on the door. You can buy your tickets here: https://buytickets.at/cancertreatmentandresearchtrust/1181496
