Fresh from their recent sell-out concert at the Turner Sims Concert Hall, don't miss the City of Southampton Orchestra under principal conductor John Traill for a wonderful evening of British Music at Thornden Hall.
The concert begins with Gustav Holst's sumptuously evocative ballet music to The Perfect Fool. We then welcome back our friend and virtuoso violinist extraordinaire, Charlie Lovell-Jones, to play William Walton's magnificent Violin Concerto. Concluding the evening, we will perform the atmospheric Symphony No 2 celebrating London, the chosen town of that quintessentially English composer, Ralph Vaughan Williams.
A special evening not to be missed!
