About

Celebrating Heritage Crafts, Creativity and the Colours of Autumn.

Celebrate the colours, creativity and traditions of autumn at Whitchurch Silk Mill's Harvest & Heritage Festival.

Over three days, the historic Mill will be transformed with seasonal displays, harvest-inspired decorations and showcases of traditional craftsmanship.

From textile arts and rural crafts to traditional making techniques and contemporary interpretations of heritage skills, the festival offers a unique opportunity to experience living heritage in action. Visitors can speak with craftspeople and learn about endangered skills.

Whether you're seeking a wonderful autumn day out, are passionate about crafts or simply looking for inspiration, there will be something to discover.

As the UK's oldest working silk mill, Whitchurch Silk Mill preserves and shares heritage craft skills for future generations. This special fundraising event supports the Mill's charitable work, from maintaining historic machinery to delivering workshops, demonstrations, and educational programmes that keep traditional skills alive.
