About
Based at Laverstoke Mill in rural Hampshire, just 15 miles from Winchester and 10 miles from Basingstoke, the Bombay Sapphire Distillery is in a conservation area with over 1000 years of history. The distillery showcases the care, skill and artistry behind every drop of Bombay Sapphire, and allows you to discover the flavours of the botanicals which make Bombay Sapphire gin so unique. All experiences must be booked online in advance.
 
Self Discovery Experience
The Self-Discovery Experience showcases the very best of Bombay Sapphire gin and our beautiful, historic distillery. Take in the beautiful natural surroundings as you walk along the River Test and uncover the fascinating history behind Laverstoke Mill. Discover the exotic botanicals in the Glasshouses, Botanical Dry Room and behind the scenes of the in the Dakin Still House. You experience culminates in The Mill Bar, alongside the beautiful River Test.
 
The Hosted Experience
During weekdays hosted experiences can be booked to answer any questions and guide you through the site. Discover exotic botanicals in the Glasshouses with an insight into Thomas Heatherwick's inspired design. Yur host will then help you uncover the Botanical Dry Room, to discover your preferred flavour palate. Go behind the scenes of the unique processes in the Dakin Still House before your host leaves you to enjoy a drink in the Mill Bar.
 
The Cocktail Master Class
The Gin Cocktail Masterclass is an interactive session on cocktail culture providing the opportunity to learn and create cocktails with our Gin Experts. Uncover the history and versatility of Bombay Sapphire. Learn about the tools of the bar trade and discover tricks of the trade that will help create cocktails. Our Gin Experts will entertain with tales as they make examples live in front of you. Take your place behind the bar to make a cocktail or two then savour the fruits of your labour. The Self-Discovery Experience is also included in the cost of the Cocktail Masterclass.

Road Directions

Laverstoke Mill is situated between Overton and Whitchurch on the B3400 (London Road) in Laverstoke. If your Sat Nav does not recognise the postcode above then please type in RG28 7PH.

Public Transport Directions

The closest train station to the distillery is Overton which is serviced by trains originating from London Waterloo and Salisbury. The distillery is then a 40 minute walk along London Road in the direction of Whitchurch. Alternatively disembark at Basingstoke train station where the number 76 bus stops right outside the distillery at Laverstoke Mill. The 76 bus from Basingstoke or Andover stops right outside the distillery.  

Shuttle Bus

There is a shuttle bus service, running periodically from the nearby stations of Overton and Micheldever. Please check the shuttle bus page on the website for timetable and price information close to your visit date, and allow plenty of time to get to the distillery for the start of your experience as the timetable may be subject to change.
