Lighting up the city skyline again this November will be the popular annual Cosham Bonfire & Fireworks Display at the King George V playing fields.
This free event opens at 4pm. Enjoy the children's funfair (under 12's only) as well as the variety of hot food & refreshment vendors, to keep you warm on a cold winter's evening.
The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the stunning fireworks display will start at 7:30pm. The display, funded and organised by Portsmouth City Council, always draws the crowds, so please avoid driving if possible - although parking will be available at Lakeside.
Visitors are asked not to bring their own fireworks or sparklers to the display for health and safety reasons.
Please avoid crossing Western Road which is a high speed road. There are pedestrian subways available at either end of Western Road.
Any vehicles parked on double yellow lines and grass verges risk being towed away.
Please note that a road closure will be in place on Northern Road for approximately 20 minutes following the end of the fireworks. Download the latest Public Transport Map for more information on getting around Portsmouth by bus, train, ferry and more.
This year's display has been supplied by Pains Fireworks, wrap up warm, and be prepared for a fireworks extravaganza!
For further updates regarding the event, including any wet weather announcements, please check the Portsmouth City Council social media pages.
