Experience Whitchurch Silk Mill decorated for Christmas.
On the banks of the River Test, our living museum in beautiful rural Hampshire is a real-life time capsule. It is in part a living museum, part Regency water mill and a contemporary silk weaver too. Each of the Mill's floors will be decorated to recreate the scenes from the Mill's past between 1815 and 2023, as if the Weavers had just left moments before.
The Mill will get a seasonal make over for Christmas with a recreation of Weaver's Cottage with a table laid with gingerbread figures and figgy pudding mix where visitors can make a wish. On the top floor, the mill manager has provided a lavish feast for his weavers.
Outside you can treat yourselves to a warming glass of mulled wine or a cup of Hot Chocolate. Children visiting can enjoy games, crafts and colouring activities.
Our gift shop is a great place to find perfect gifts for all the family and we sell a selection of items made with the beautiful silk woven at Whitchurch.
Our riverside café will be open for light bites, hot and cold drinks and cakes.
The Mill's gallery will see the Whitchurch Play town returning on Sat 2 December which is included in your entry tickets.
The event will be open from 10.30am – 4pm on Sat 2 & Sun 3 December.
Please pre-book your tickets. Tickets for this event are £3 per person aged 3 yrs+. Children under 3 yrs are free.
Annual passes cannot be used for entry to this event.
