Make like Muggle-Wump the monkey and head to the Roald Dahl Museum this May half-term. The whole family will enjoy exploring the three fun and fact-packed galleries, and you can get even more out of a visit with our wonderous workshops.
Get messy with clay
Get stuck in and mould your special pelican bucket based on the Pelly's beautiful beak, perfect for keeping all sorts of sweets and trinkets in! On our Pelly Clay Workshops you'll learn about the brilliant book The Giraffe and the Pelly and Me before letting your imagination run wild.
Tuesday 27, Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 May
Come face-to-face with some minibeasts
Jungle Juniors is back at the Museum after a sell-out event in April. Don't miss your chance to see (and handle) some special specimens up close. Roald was inspired by insects to write James and the Giant Peach, now it's your turn to be fascinated by these creatures.
Friday 30 May
Put on your walking boots
May is a brilliant time to get outside, so let us take you on a walk that's extra fun. On our Animal Antics Village Trail you'll walk along the very pavements that Roald did, stopping along the way for stories from his best-loved books. You'll hear about the pheasants from Danny the Champion of the World and the foxes from Fantastic Mr Fox – plus many others.
Thursday 29 May
Plus free storytelling, drop-in crafts and Museum trails every day. Museum tickets valid for admission for a whole year!
