Rosie's is an independent run local restaurant in Southsea, Portsmouth. Rosie's continues to be an iconic wine bar bistro serving up relaxed dining in an unrivalled atmosphere. They offer a wide range of wine, food, live jazz and are open seven days a week. The restaurant is inspired by French home-style cooking combining earthy dishes and slow-cooked foods. The menu is comprised of dishes both hearty in style and beautifully presented all bursting with flavour. Dining at Rosie's is in an unpretentious, warm and inviting setting.
They have built up a reputation for high quality food and a unique atmosphere. They are a hotspot for Portsmouth jazz, with live music every Friday night and Sunday afternoon.
The kitchen delivers a raft of tempting ideals ranging from grilled Lyme Bay scallops with chorizo and smoked chilli jam or potted duck with fig and apricot chutney amongst the starters.
There are main courses such as six hour lamb shoulder blossom honey, pine nuts served with sauté potatoes and caramelised aubergine or choose one of Rosie’s classics such as moules frites, mussels served in an onion and garlic white wine sauce served with fries. When it comes to desserts you might see crème brulee served with homemade shortbread or a white and dark chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream.
Rosie's can cater for larger parties in their cellar bar and mezzanine. They also have a private conservatory and secret garden that can hold up to 80 guests perfect for weddings and family events.
