Cogges Manor Farm

Cogges Manor Farm is a living landscape with over 1,000 years of history and 17 acres of open space to explore. The beautiful Cotswold stone 13th century manor house, farmyard and garden pay testimony to the generations of people who have worked the land and produced food here. Visitors can say hello to the animals, play on the adventure playground, picnic in the orchard and walk through the woods that surround the farm.

Everyone who visits Cogges for the first time is bowled over by its beauty. The Cotswold stone farm buildings grouped around the farmyard and the manor house beyond provide a tranquil setting that belies its proximity to Witney’s bustling town centre.

The Norman figure-of-eight moat in the woodland beyond has been exposed revealing two distinct islands to explore. The first is the setting for an adventure play area, based around the site of the original manor house, for children of all ages to enjoy.

Follow the trail through the woods on the second island, clamber over and under the fallen trees, build a den or look out for the badgers, squirrels, deer and bats that live there.

When hunger kicks in, you can enjoy a family picnic in the orchard or choose something from the Cogges Kitchen café which serves freshly prepared food every day from 9am until 4pm. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too!

Cogges is a place for everyone to relax, learn and have fun.
