Set within 21 hectares (50 acres) Kilkenny Lane Country Park is an ideal location for playing, walking, jogging, horse-riding or simply relaxing with a picnic. There are 2.5km of footpaths (suitable for wheelchair and pushchair access) and bridleways as well as an adventure play area.
The country park is open all day every day and entry is free.
The play area has sensory elements, landscaped features such as mounds and tunnels, and some unusual features (like willow igloos and a totem pole) and aims to exercise the mind as well as the body. Children will discover old favourites - a zip-wire, swings and slides - as well as new ones as they bounce on trampolines or swing in hammocks, dig in the sandpit or venture into a willow maze.
The play area is sited at the western end of the park and has a small car park close by.
