River view - Cotswold Boat Hire

About

Cotswold Boat Hire is a friendly, family-run company that has been operating along this beautiful stretch of the River Thames for more than 35 years. Based at Brandy Island near Buscot Lock, just outside Lechlade, we offer a relaxing and memorable way to explore the river and surrounding countryside. We provide a variety of boats to suit different needs and occasions. Our electric-powered small open boats are perfect for a peaceful hour or two on the water, ideal for couples, families, or anyone looking to unwind. For larger groups, our half-day and full-day cruisers comfortably accommodate between 8 and 10 people, making them a great choice for gatherings, celebrations, or leisurely day trips. We also offer weekend and holiday boats designed for up to four adults, giving you the opportunity to enjoy a longer escape on the river at your own pace.

Our main hire season runs from 1st April through to 30th October, when the weather and river conditions are at their best. However, a selection of boats may still be available outside of peak season, with occasional off-peak offers depending on conditions.

Whether you are planning a short outing or a longer getaway, Cotswold Boat Hire provides a unique and enjoyable river experience.  Online booking is available from our website where you will also find lots of photographs and further boat details and you can also contact us on our mobile number.  You USUALLY DO NEED to book in advance.

Please see arrival video below.
This leads to the National Trust Carpark where you can park and walk down to us for shorter hires.  For longer hires of 4 hours or more and those with reduced mobility we have onsite parking and instructions are on your booking confirmation.
