ART5 Gallery is delighted to announce a solo exhibition of work by sought-after Brighton-based artist Tina Davies! This exhibition is the perfect introduction to spring, showcasing an exclusive new collection of the artist's signature dreamy floral paintings, alongside a selection of brand new abstract pieces. We're also excited to present a new range of handmade ceramics and sculptures!
Tina Davies trained as a potter in the Lake District, England and then Antigua in the Caribbean, continuing her studies for two years in Art and Design back in England and completing a Ceramics degree in Cardiff, Wales. During her degree, Tina's interests became directed towards nature where she painted the human figure and floral subjects onto clay. She also discovered her passion for painting with her hands, one of her most beloved artistic signatures. Subsequently, Tina has established herself as a highly collectable artist, with her paintings and ceramics becoming instantly recognisable worldwide.
Reflecting on her work, Tina remarks: "The core of my work comes from freedom. I am inspired by the synergy of nature, the play of energies in the process of creation. I work from the heart wishing to achieve 'no mind'. I am passionate to create and often move around diverse materials, oils, ink, clay, etc. therefore forming no patterns, no rules. I paint with my hands creating a closer relationship to the subject and medium allowing myself to flow with the experience of the process itself."
Visit this exclusive exhibition to see this exciting new collection of Tina's paintings, sculpture and ceramics!
Tina Davies Solo Show is a free exhibition running from 25th March to 2nd April.
