Schubert Sonata in D major, D850
Chopin The complete music from the ballet Les Sylphides
A favourite with Maidenhead audiences, Piers Lane returns to Norden Farm with one of Schubert's most thrillingly virtuosic late piano sonatas.
Also on the programme is the complete selection of Chopin pieces used for the ballet Les Sylphides. A compendium of the Polish composer-pianist's greatest work, it includes a polonaise, several mazurkas, two nocturnes, the Tarantelle, a prelude and several waltzes.
