Through the arc of a single night, the opera tracks Don Giovanni as he seduces and manipulates without conscience, leaving rejected conquests and vengeful victims in his wake. Mozart's sublime music and glorious arias, in contrast, capture the humanity and strength of those he harms.
Set in the seemingly glamorous world of the early 21st-century film industry, this production addresses issues that remain as relevant today as in Mozart's time.
A cast of emerging young opera stars with the Hurn Court Opera orchestra bring the contrasting facets of this dark tale sharply to life as the libertine Don charts a fatal course to destruction.
