Hampshire Countryside Day: Join us at Bereleigh Estate on Sunday 15 September 2024
The much-anticipated Hampshire Countryside Day returns to Bereleigh Estate in East Meon GU32 1PH on Sunday, September 15, 2024. Sponsored by SHORTS plant hire and waste management, the event supports the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. Visitors can enjoy a celebration of rural life with activities, competitions, demonstrations, and a wide range of shopping options.
Main arena attractions include a falconry display, hunt scurry, inter hunt relays, gundog training, shooting demonstrations by Chris Green, terrier racing, and a chance to meet the Sealyham Terriers and local horse and hounds. New this year, the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance will offer a flight simulator for an immersive helicopter rescue experience.
'Have a go' activities feature archery with Raven Field Archers, target shooting with Meon Valley Air Guns, and ferret racing with the Wessex Ferret Club.
Anyone with a dog can enter the Family Dog Show or the Gun Dog Scurry. The Nationals Coursing Club will host the Lurcher and Terrier Show, and the Working Clumber Spaniel Society will be present.
Stands will sell food, drink, crafts, sporting goods, clothing, and gifts. Tickets are limited, so pre-book online at https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/hcsd Advance entry costs: £13 for adults plus booking fee; under 16s go free.
