Coronation Children's Trail

About

Borde Hill will be celebrating the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and The Queen Consort from Saturday 29th April to Monday 8th May.

Archive material relating to the 1937 and 1953 Coronations, which were attended by Colonel Stephenson Robert Clarke and Sir Ralph Stephenson Clarke respectively, will be on display in the Africa Glasshouse alongside jubilant red, white, and blue floral displays. Younger visitors can feel like a King or Queen for the day, wearing a paper crown as they enjoy a very royal children’s trail to spot hidden crowns dotted around the Garden.

Tasty treats including Coronation cupcakes, champagne sorbet, Coronation cocktails and mocktails from the Dog & Duck bar will enable visitors to the Spring Plant Fair on the Sunday 7th May to enjoy a royal treat while browsing locally grown, garden-worth plants.
