The Bell in Ticehurst is a traditional, but wholly unique pub and hotel in the centre of the village of Ticehurst in East Sussex. There’s delicious food in the restaurant and a quirky atmosphere throughout.
The Bell is a fully licensed wedding venue and the perfect backdrop for you to realise your dream wedding. Seating a maximum of 70 guests, you can have your ceremony here, followed by a meal in either the Assembly Room or Stable, then continue the celebration into the evening.
The Assembly Room is perfect for meetings up to 75 guests, whilst small numbers can be accommodated in the Stable or the intimate Snug.
There are also eleven bedrooms, so your guests can stay over too.
Seven rooms are in the main building, all furnished in a traditional style and some with copper roll top baths. In the garden, there are three lodges set around a fire pit. Based on Kentish oast houses, they have a unique style all of their own. For the Bride and Groom, there is the Love Nest, complete with a rooftop terrace, copper roll top bath and log burner.
The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and offers traditional pub food, but served with a twist. Our team of chefs make full use of the local and seasonal produce that abound in the area.
The pub is a relaxing, friendly place where guests and locals can meet, perhaps to enjoy one of the locally brewed real ales on offer. In the cooler months, a roaring log fire is a welcome sight. From the pub, you can step straight into the garden where there’s plenty of space to wander and enjoy the flowers and plants.
