The Assembly Hall Theatre is a 1,000 seat regional theatre presenting a eclectic programme of live events.

Genres include popular music of all kinds, musical theatre, stand-up comedy, children's and family shows, West End touring musicals and dramas, traditional pantomime, classical concerts and opera, variety, spoken word, and dance. The theatre is also the chosen venue of several highly-regarded community groups, and hosts an annual arts exhibition and is used as a conference venue.

It is a much loved and valued cultural asset in the heart of Tunbridge Wells for over seventy-five years, having been renowned for attracting diverse audiences from the borough and beyond.

Situated in the centre of the historic spa town of Tunbridge Wells, there are many restaurants, bars and cafes nearby.    

Over 1.1 million customers have attended shows in the last six years. The theatre works closely with partners both in the local business and education sectors developing programme strands that address their specific needs.

Opening Times

* The Box Office is open to counter callers from 9.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and from 10am to 5pm on Saturday. Phone lines are open from 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday and from 10am to 5pm on Saturday. On the evening of a show we are open to counter callers until fifteen minutes after the show commences and on Sunday 90 minutes before performances and 15 minutes after the start.
