Fort Nelson is a Victorian Fort set on Portsdown Hill, overlooking Portsmouth Harbour to the south and Meon Valley to the north.

Both private and business functions can be held at the fort in the former Officer's Mess. This has been restored to its full Victorian splendour and is a popular venue for civil ceremonies, formal dinners and with companies who want to run away days, training courses or seminars. Celebratory gun salutes, guided tours and a chance to view the museum's galleries are offered to both private and business clients.

Our elegant function rooms – The Point of the Redan and the Ante Room – have been restored to their Victorian splendour and are full of individual character.
