Plumpton Racecourse a hidden gem at the foot of the South Downs in East Sussex.
One of the last remaining independent racecourses in the country, founded in 1884 it still has all the character you would expect a local course to have. Hosting 17 racedays a year from September to May it is perfect for all things corporate. With a large permanent marquee, 12 hospitality boxes, restaurant and directors box, we can cater from 2 to 300. With Plumpton having hosted assessment days, interviews, conferences and networking events we really can cater for anything.
Racing 17 times a year from September to May and an array of meetings including Ladies Day, Family Raceday, The Easter Festival and The Sussex National we have something for all types of racegoers, casual or fanatic!
Outdoor space isn’t an issue either and with plenty of free car parking we can fit any large outdoor event. With the centre of the course open for use, up to 5,000 people can attend your event with no problems. Events hosted in the past include car rallies, camping events, residential school camps, cycling events and weddings.
Worried about how you’ll get to Plumpton? Apart from the free parking we have here, Plumpton train station is at the foot of the course and with a direct line from Victoria and only 10 miles from Brighton it isn’t hard to find us.
Not racing in the summer let’s us exploit the great facilities we have on site and offer award-winning service for you and everyone that is in attendance. With expert caterers that can put together a five-course meal or canapés, the flexibility of Plumpton is unrivalled with it in essence being a blank canvas for you to paint on.
